Frequently Asked Questions About Women’s Health
FAQs About Getting Started
1. What ages do you work with?
We serve women ages 18 and older, through every stage of adulthood — wherever you are in life. Whether you're transitioning from high school to college, starting your first full-time job, engaged or newly married, navigating your first pregnancy or parenting multiple children, moving through perimenopause, menopause, or post-menopause, becoming an empty nester, welcoming grandchildren, or easing into retirement — we're here to support you through it.
2. Do you offer free consultations?
Yes! When you reach out to us, a member of our team will contact you to schedule a free 30-minute call with one of our specialists. During this call, you'll have the chance to share what you're experiencing and ask any questions. From there, our specialist will help match you with the therapist (or therapists) best suited to support you, and get your full evaluation scheduled as your first appointment, if interested.
3. What does an evaluation include, and how long does it last?
Evaluations typically last 60–90 minutes and include a patient interview, a comprehensive assessment, and initial impressions. Afterward, we complete a full report and treatment plan, sent to you through our Patient Portal. If therapy is recommended, our front desk will help you schedule your appointments, based on recommended frequency and what you prefer.
4. What happens after my evaluation?
After your evaluation, your therapist will personally follow up with you to review your results, answer any questions, and confirm your next appointment. If ongoing therapy is recommended, we'll build your care plan around what works best for your schedule, goals, budget and anything else pertinent.
5. Will you collaborate with my healthcare team?
Yes, this is a priority for us. We know we're often just one part of the solution, and communicating with the rest of your care team helps us get you the best possible outcome.
6. How long does therapy typically last?
Each visit is 60 minutes of personalized, one-on-one time with your therapist. We're committed to focusing entirely on your goals — you'll always receive attentive, individualized support, never handed off to a technician or assistant.
7. How often will I need to attend sessions?
Frequency depends on your diagnosis, your therapist's recommendations, and your availability. Some women choose to come weekly or bi-weekly for more intensive therapy, while others may only need monthly or quarterly visits depending on their progress, symptoms, and goals. We'll work together to build a schedule that truly fits your life.
8. What is your cancellation and attendance policy?
Cancellations must be submitted at least 4 hours before your scheduled appointment. Cancellations made with less than 4 hours' notice will incur a $50 fee. If more than 50% of scheduled appointments are missed or cancelled late within a 30-day period, we reserve the right to discharge the client from services.
9. What happens if I need to miss or reschedule an appointment?
Just give our office a call at 701-712-6555 with at least 4 hours' notice, and we'll help get you rescheduled for a time that works better for you.
10. Can I bring my baby or children to therapy sessions?
Yes! We're a family-friendly environment, and your baby is always welcome in the clinic. We want you to get the care you need, when you need it most. We're also proud to share a building with Myna Therapy Services and Myna Early Intervention — our sister companies specializing in pediatric care — so support for your little ones is right around the corner, too.
11. Can you help with hormone-related concerns?
No, we don't perform hormone testing or prescribe hormone replacement therapy (HRT), but we can discuss symptoms related to hormonal changes — including those tied to perimenopause, menopause, and postpartum recovery — provide education, and help connect you with trusted providers and resources for hormone therapy and testing.
12. Where will services be provided?
Services are provided at our Myna Women’s Health office, located at: 4575 23rd Ave. S. Ste. 300 Fargo, ND 58104 We're in south Fargo, just off I-94 near 45th Street South — easy to find and convenient to reach from across the Fargo-Moorhead-West-Fargo area and throughout the Red River Valley. We also offer care online via teletherapy for services where it's a good fit. That said, some of our therapies are hands-on by nature and need to happen in person — including physical therapy, dry needling, and lactation support that involves practicing with your baby. Teletherapy tends to work best for services like occupational therapy and speech therapy, where a virtual format still allows for meaningful, personalized care.
13. Do you offer teletherapy?
Yes. We offer an online teletherapy option for services where it's a good fit — such as occupational therapy and speech therapy. Because physical therapy, dry needling, and hands-on lactation support (like practicing positioning with your baby) require in-person care, those services aren't available via teletherapy. We'll help determine whether teletherapy is the right fit for you after an in-person evaluation.
FAQs About Billing & Insurance
1. Do I need a referral to get started?
You don't need a referral from your provider for your initial visit, unless your insurance requires one. If your insurance does require a referral or signed plan of care, we'll take care of requesting it directly from your provider — so you don't have to track that down yourself.
2. What if my doctor referred me?
If a physician or another provider referred you to us, we'll handle the referral paperwork on your behalf, working directly with their office to keep things moving. With your consent, we're also glad to share updates on your care with your referring provider, so your whole care team stays informed.
3. How is my insurance verified?
Before your evaluation, our team verifies your insurance benefits on your behalf — so you'll have a clear picture of your coverage before your first visit.
4. What insurance do you accept?
We're in network with most major insurance providers, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Medicaid of North Dakota, Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Medicare Part B, and more — see the full list above under Insurance We Accept. If we're out of network with your plan, we're happy to provide a superbill for potential reimbursement.
5. Do you have private-pay or cash-pay rates?
Yes — we offer a private-pay rate for individuals paying out of pocket, which includes a 5% discount off our standard service rates. Payment is due at the time of service, and your card on file will be automatically charged the full amount that day.
6. How will I be billed for services?
We send electronic invoices with any balance due at the beginning of each month, to the email address on file. You can also view your balance anytime through our patient portal.
7. What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, check, or credit card — in person, over the phone, or through our online patient portal.

FAQs About Myna Women's Health
1. What is Myna Women's Health?
Myna Women's Health is a multidisciplinary therapy practice supporting women through every stage of life — from pregnancy and postpartum recovery to perimenopause, menopause, and beyond. Our team offers physical, occupational, speech, and lactation therapy, all under one roof, so you don't have to piece together care from multiple providers.
2. What makes Myna Women's Health different from traditional healthcare?
We take the time traditional healthcare often doesn't. Appointments are unhurried, one-on-one, and built around your full picture — not just a checklist of symptoms. You won't be told your experience is "just something to live with." Instead, you'll be heard, educated, and supported with a care plan that's actually built for your life.
3. Why was Myna Women's Health created?
Myna Women's Health began with a simple but important question: who's caring for the women? The mothers, the caregivers, the ones holding everything together — often without the support they need. We saw that gap in women's healthcare and built Myna to fill it, with care that listens first and never asks you to just live with it.
4. What is Myna Women's Health's mission?
Our mission is to support women through every stage of life with specialized, evidence-based care that nurtures both body and mind. We want to replace confusion, dismissal, and "just live with it" mindsets with clarity, support, and a real path forward — so you feel empowered and confident in your body again.
5. What is Myna Women's Health's vision for the future?
We're working to redefine what women's healthcare can feel like — trading cold, clinical experiences for care that feels calm, human, and restorative. Our goal is a future where women feel informed, supported, and empowered — not just to manage their health, but to truly live their lives with confidence and ease.
6. What values guide your care?
Everything we do is grounded in 6 core values: • Helping you take ownership of your health • Creating a space where you can fully exhale • Making sure you feel seen and understood • Giving you clarity you can trust • Building your care plan together with you • Delivering care that's made specifically for you — not a one-size-fits-all approach
7. What do you believe about women's healthcare?
We believe women deserve to be taken seriously — never dismissed or told to just live with it. We believe care should feel human, not rushed or transactional. We believe education creates empowerment, healing requires whole-person support, and no woman should have to navigate her health alone.

4. Can you help with symptoms related to perimenopause or menopause?
Yes. Fatigue, joint stiffness, balance challenges, and hormonal pelvic floor changes are all common during this life stage, and our Perimenopause & Menopause Wellness services are built specifically to support you through it.
5. Can you help with breastfeeding or feeding challenges?
Yes. Latch difficulties, pumping schedules, bottle feeding, oral motor concerns, and preparing for a return to work are all areas our Lactation Support team helps with — for both you and your baby.

FAQs About Our Services
1. What services does Myna Women's Health offer?
We offer 8 specialized services: • Prenatal Physical Therapy • Postpartum Rehabilitation • Pelvic Floor & Core Performance • Perimenopause & Menopause Wellness • Lactation Support • Speech Therapy • Occupational Therapy for Life Transitions • Functional Orthopedics (including dry needling). All are provided under one roof by our multidisciplinary team.
2. What conditions does Myna Women's Health treat?
We support women through a wide range of physical, emotional, and life-stage transitions — from pregnancy and postpartum recovery to perimenopause, menopause, chronic pain, feeding challenges, and cognitive or communication changes. Visit our Conditions & Symptoms section above for a full breakdown by what you're experiencing.
3. How do I know which service is right for me?
You don't need to figure that out on your own. During your free consultation, one of our specialists will listen to what you're experiencing and help match you with the right therapist — or combination of therapists — for your needs.
4. Can I receive more than one type of therapy at the same time?
Yes, and it's common. Many women come in for one concern and find support for others once we look at the full picture together. Our team collaborates closely across specialties so your care feels connected, not fragmented.
5. Do your services work together, or are they separate?
They work together. For example, our lactation support is provided collaboratively between our speech-language pathologist and occupational therapist, so you're getting combined expertise rather than a single, siloed perspective. This kind of cross-discipline collaboration happens across our services whenever it benefits you.
